St. Thomas Aquinas/UConn Construction
Updated May 11th, 2017
On Thursday morning the University has begun construction of the lane barriers and fencing for the North Eagleville Road project. While the road is narrow due to the barriers it is still possible to enter the St. Thomas Aquinas parking lot (see the pictures below). Please note, if you are planning on visiting St. Thomas during the work week you will most likely encounter police at the turn into North Eagleville from Discovery Drive. Just let them know that you are going to St. Thomas for a meeting and they will allow you to pass.
There will be construction occurring on North Eagleville Road that will last throughout the summer months and impact St. Thomas Aquinas in the following ways:
- Beginning May 8th Traffic will flow in one direction from Discovery Drive towards Route 195.
- There will be no on-street parking during the period of construction. Parishioners may use the parking spaces behind the St. Thomas Aquinas Student Center. Parking is also available at the St. Mark's lot for the 5:30 p.m. Mass only.
- While there will be construction fencing along the roadside of St. Thomas, parishioners will still be able to enter the front entrance as well as both side entrances of the Church.
St. Thomas Aquinas will be open for its regular business hours during the week.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while UConn performs this badly needed maintenance.
